Dr. Rashmi Baruah is currently working at the research station of Assam Agricultural University as a Junior Scientist. She is presently working in the area of Soil Conservation and application of remote  sensing in different areas of Soil Science. She is also engaged in carbon sequestration studies along with soil classification.

Dr. Purnima Das

Dr. Purnima Das is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Entomology of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam (India). Her research interests are in the following subjects: economic entomology, biological control of crop pest using entomopathogenic fungi plant based biopesticides, beneficial insect: Lac Insect (Kerria chinensis), taxonomy of rice pests and natural enemies, mutation breeding in rice using gamma irradiation for insect tolerance.

Dr. Rajib Lochan Deka

Dr. Rajib Lochan Deka is currently working as Associate Professor at the Assam Agricultural University. He is mainly involved in teaching Agricultural Meteorology in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate degree programs. His area of expertise focus on climate change related studies, particularly in assessing climate change impact on Agriculture and its management, Agro-climatic characterization, Crop modeling (statistical & simulation), Crop-weather relationships and Agrometeorological Advisory

Dr. Moloya Gohain

Dr. Moloya Gohain is a Project Scientist at DBT-NECAB, AAU, Jorhat, India. She received national scholarships for master’s and Ph.D. in Animal Biotechnology at ICAR-NDRI, Karnal. During the time, her research was related to reproductive genomics of cattle & buffalo. She went on to pursue her postdoctoral research at IPMB, Taiwan, on the transcriptome and methylome of regenerated rice. Currently, she is working on the improvement of chickpea using gene technology for insect pest resistance.

Dr. Bonti Gogoi, is currently working as Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Nagaon under Assam Agricultural University. She is involved in technology dissemination through conducting demonstrations of several frontier frontline technologies at farmers’ level since 2015.

Dr. Ratna Kalita

Dr. Ratna Kalita is currently working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, Assam (India). Her research interests focus on: Functional Genomics, Genome editing, Bioinformatics. For research purposes, she uses cutting-edge research technologies, namely genome-editing with CRISPR-Cas9 technology, gene silencing using RNAi, molecular marker development, recently advanced bioinformatics algorithms and tools.

Dr. Manish Kumar Pandey is currently leading the Groundnut Genomics group at ICRISAT, Hyderabad, India. He has demonstrated his potential in developing largescale genomic resources for groundnut including genome sequence and developing 58K high density SNP genotyping array. He is known for his leading efforts in making molecular breeding a reality in groundnut.

Dr Manish Roorkiwal is Senior Scientist in the field of Genomics and Molecular Breeding, at ICRISAT, Hyderabad, India. At the core of his work is the improvement of crop productivity of legumes in marginal environments in Africa and Asia using modern genetics and breeding approaches, including genomic selection and GWAS.

Dr. Arati Yadawad is currently working as Principal Investigator at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. She is specialized in Genetics and Plant breeding, mostly focused on marker assisted breeding for biotic and abiotic stress resistance in major field crops like wheat, groundnut and in horticultural crops like chili, tomato and okra. Presently she is working on the identification of QTLs for aflatoxin contamination resistance in groundnut.
